Slesa Castle XII-XVI cc. AD is the monument of XI c. It controlled the road leading to Atskuri and informed them about enemies' invasion from Tbilisi. Difference between Atskuri, Queen Tamar's Castles and Slesi castle consists in the thickness of the walls. Following these castles, it represented the third self-defense fence. Once there was a church, but its trace is now long gone. In ancient period, this fortress was called "Lesvi". Nowadays trees, plants, and natural catastrophes seriously damage the fortress.
