Timotesubani Virgin Mary Monastery, XII-XIII cc. AD, was built in the village Timotesubani, Borjomi Municipality. Cathedral is in the name of Virgin Mary and is Georgia's one of the most important monuments. Church painting dates back to the years 1205-1215 (epoch of Queen Tamar) and is unique. In 2000-2006 cleaning and restoration works were held by International center of Art. After the restoration project of the European Cultural Center at St. Mary Cathedral heritage prize was presented in Nostro, it has won one of the most prestigious awards - medal.
